Description
Growing commercial real estate firm is adding to its Accounting Department by bringing on a Property Accountant with just three years of commercial real estate experience in a similar role, solid command of Yardi, and a Bachelor's in Accounting. In this position you will get to do the following:
- compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
- ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- make certain all financial reporting deadlines are met
- prepare opening/closing entries for bought and sold properties
- review lease abstracts
- review invoices and check batches
- prepare financial management reports
- ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes
- establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
- resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
- prepare financial audit schedules and assist with the audit process
- prepare and monitor progress of lender reserve dra
- oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
- ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data
