We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to perform detailed inspections of machined parts, assemblies, and materials to ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards. This position requires hands-on experience with CMM (using CMM-Manager and PC-DMIS), surface plate layout, and precision hand tools. A strong understanding of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), GD&T, and AS9100 quality systems is essential.

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM + OT

Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

  • Perform First Article (AS9102), In-Process, Receiving, and Final Inspections of precision aerospace components
  • Conduct CMM inspections using CMM-Manager and PC-DMIS to verify dimensions and tolerances
  • Utilize surface plate layout methods and precision hand tools to ensure part accuracy
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T and ANSI/ASME Y14.5 standards
  • Document non-conformances and collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality management system requirements
  • Perform gage calibration and set up inspection equipment
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and complete FAIR documentation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and inspection processes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aerospace CNC machining environment
  • Proficient in using CMM machines (CMM-Manager and PC-DMIS preferred)
  • Strong understanding of AS9100, GD&T, and ANSI drawing standards
  • Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspections
  • Skilled with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial bores, depth gauges, and optical comparators
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-precision environment
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials and CNC manufacturing processes preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
