Material Handler I – WEPA (Temp)

Location: Coachella, CA
Schedule: 4/10 or 3/12 workweek
Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable and hands-on team player to join our manufacturing crew as a Material Handler I in the Waste-To-Energy Processing Area (WEPA). This role keeps our operations safe, organized, and running smoothly by handling materials, cleaning equipment, and maintaining the workspace.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Keep the WEPA area clean, safe, and organized.
• Operate the shredder and conveyor (training provided if needed).
• Collect and stage scrap materials from various buildings for blending.
• Prepare and organize cardboard and other materials for WEPA blends.
• Clean WEPA equipment and work surfaces as needed.
• Label containers properly and follow all safety and environmental guidelines.
• Follow instructions and safety procedures outlined in company manuals and policies.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to read, write, and speak basic English.
• Comfortable with basic math.
• Dependable and responsible — we rely on you to keep things moving safely.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Preferred (but not required)

• Forklift certification
• Hazardous materials first responder certification
• Confined Space and Lockout/Blockout training
• Familiarity with SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and company procedures

Other Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
