Job description:

Local company looking for a Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all HR functions. This role partners closely with leadership to support business objectives through effective people strategies, compliance, and employee engagement. The HR Manager will manage recruiting, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance across both organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment for all positions, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management on employee relations, performance issues, and workplace concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
  • Manage employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes
  • Administer employee benefits, leaves of absence, and workers’ compensation programs.
  • Support payroll processes by ensuring accurate employee data, timekeeping, and reporting.
  • Lead performance management processes, including evaluations, corrective actions, and coaching.
  • Handle employee investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, employee development, and retention strategies.
  • Support training initiatives and promote a positive, inclusive company culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of HR management or generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing HR functions across multiple entities or locations is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification (preferred).
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with employees and leadership.

Work Environment

  • Office-based with regular interaction across departments and leadership teams.
  • Occasional travel between the companies 2 locations may be required.
