Machine Shop in Temecula is looking for a Production Planner to join their team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Creation and Management:
  • Develop and maintain production schedules for various machines and work centers.
  • Analyze production requirements and capacity to create realistic and efficient schedules.
  • Prioritize jobs based on due dates and customer requirements.
  • Resource Allocation:
  • Ensure that necessary materials, tools, and equipment are available for each job.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and other departments to ensure material availability.
  • Allocate labor resources effectively to meet production demands.
  • Communication and Coordination:
  • Communicate schedules and updates to shop floor personnel and other relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with engineers, quality control, and sales teams to address any issues and ensure a smooth production flow.
  • Provide regular reports on production status and potential problems.
  • Problem Solving and Optimization:
  • Identify and resolve production delays or bottlenecks.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Suggest and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Data Management and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, work orders, and material availability.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to track and manage production activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in JobBoss ERP system is highly preferred.
  • Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of machining processes and equipment.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in spreadsheet software.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour

Schedule:

 

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

 

Work Location: In person
