Job description:
As a Front Office Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the clinic operates efficiently and that patients feel welcomed and cared for. You will manage both administrative and patient-facing duties, serving as the first point of contact for patients in person or over the phone. Your work will be essential to maintaining smooth operations, accurate records, and a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Check patients in and out efficiently, collect co-pays, and verify insurance information.
- Schedule new patient appointments, follow-ups, in-office testing, and procedures.
- Obtain, update, and maintain accurate patient identification, demographics, and account information.
- Manage a multi-line telephone system efficiently, route calls appropriately, minimize hold times, and take accurate messages.
- Provide comfort to patients and address questions to the best of your ability.
- Keep providers, medical assistants, and staff informed of scheduling changes, patient updates, and potential service delays.
- Maintain front office supplies and update supply lists as needed.
- Coordinate transportation for patients when required.
•Assist with medical emergencies if needed.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the front desk, waiting area, and common areas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a medical front office preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional, pleasant phone demeanor.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused attitude.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay: From $19.00 - $21.00 per hour (DOE)
- Full-time, 40 hours per week

Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
