Position Summary
The Inventory Clerk supports warehouse and shipping operations by maintaining accurate inventory records and assisting with inbound and outbound shipments. This role ensures inventory levels remain accurate through regular cycle counts, shipment verification, and database updates. The Inventory Clerk also organizes inventory storage areas and helps maintain efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and accurate cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
- Monitor inventory levels and place replenishment orders when needed
- Maintain organized inventory storage areas following 5S principles
- Review cycle count results and report inventory discrepancies
- Manage multiple types of inventory across various storage locations
- Package parts and materials for customer deliveries
- Process shipments using carriers such as UPS and FedEx
- Handle inbound and outbound shipments
- Ensure all receiving activities are completed daily across multiple locations
- Support additional warehouse and inventory tasks as needed

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or Vocational Degree required; some college preferred
- Minimum 1 year of inventory control or warehouse experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with inventory systems and materials handling
- Understanding of 5S or lean manufacturing principles preferred
- Advanced Excel skills such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and IF statements are a plus
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse and manufacturing environment and may require standing, walking, and handling materials throughout the shift.
Schedule
This is a full-time onsite role, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening work may be required based on operational needs.
