Production Coordinator

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19.50 -$20.00/hour
Position Type: Full-Time (40+ hours/week)
Reports To: Production Manager

Position Summary

The Production Coordinator plays a key role in managing and tracking work orders within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining on-time delivery, and coordinating across departments to resolve production issues.

This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills to support production goals and meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and track work orders through all stages of production
  • Coordinate daily production ship lists and communicate updates on timelines, risks, and delays
  • Maintain on-time delivery (OTD) performance of 95% or higher
  • Identify and escalate production issues, including scheduling conflicts and quality concerns
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, project teams, and shipping to ensure smooth workflow
  • Update internal systems, including QA databases and production tracking tools
  • Communicate delays and updates to cross-functional teams
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes
  • Evaluate workflows and recommend improvements for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality
  • Perform visual inspections of parts and ensure quality standards are met
  • Reject non-conforming parts and document issues appropriately
  • Ensure all jobs are processed and delivered to QC and shipping on schedule
  • Follow all work instructions and safety protocols
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
