Position Title: Paint Technician
Department: Paint
Reports To: Paint Department Lead
Type of Position: Full-Time
Hours per Week: 40+
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Summary

The Paint Technician is responsible for finishing and painting plastic parts using various types of paints and primers to meet customer specifications. This role requires a strong eye for detail, precision, and quality control in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spray various types of primers, paints, and Mold Tech textures using a variety of application techniques.
  • Match textures and/or colors to Pantone standards or customer-supplied samples.
  • Apply rub-on graphics to painted parts in precise locations as needed.
  • Perform rework and repairs to improve the overall quality of paint jobs.
  • Understand and follow all applicable ISO and QMS processes, including updates, to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Maintain QMS standards for product/service conformity, product safety, and ethical practices.
  • Comply with all PPE and safety requirements within the work area.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative work culture.
  • Perform other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience with painting preferred.
  • Knowledge of mixing and blending pigments or dyes for accurate color matching to customer specifications.
  • Ability to read and understand basic work instructions.
  • Experience weighing compounds or paints.
  • Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
  • Basic woodworking experience is a plus.
  • Good housekeeping and organization habits.
  • Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and Microsoft Office Suite.
