Construction Project Accountant

Temecula, CA (Onsite)
$30–$37/hour DOE
32 hours per week
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Flexible 4-day workweek option (Monday or Friday off)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Accountant to join our team during a temporary leave coverage, with strong potential for long-term opportunity as our business continues to grow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative, detail-oriented environment and enjoys owning the full accounting cycle within a project-based setting.

You’ll work closely with leadership and project management in a stable, team-focused office environment where your expertise in Sage 300 and construction accounting will be highly valued.

What You’ll Bring

• REQUIRED : Minimum 3+ years of construction accounting experience
• REQUIRED: Strong proficiency in Sage 300 (Construction/Job Cost modules preferred)
• Experience with job cost tracking and project-based accounting
• Ability to work independently while managing deadlines
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis
• Post deposits and journal entries
• Manage invoice processing and check runs (full-cycle A/P)
• Support tenant billings and account monitoring
• Assist with LLC Form 3522 filings (due 4/15)
• Process property tax payments
• Support financial statement reconciliations and month-end close
• Maintain organized A/P documentation and compliance files
• Review promissory notes and entity agreements
• Provide accounting and administrative support to project management
