Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Estimator with experience in electrical systems and concrete construction to join our team. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and coordinating with clients, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful bidding and execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and proposals to develop detailed cost estimates for electrical and concrete construction.
  • Perform material take-offs and cost analysis for electrical wiring, conduit, panels, grounding, and other related components within concrete structures.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain pricing and ensure competitive bids.
  • Assess labor, materials, and equipment costs for accurate budgeting and project feasibility.
  • Identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
  • Work closely with the project management team to develop project schedules and timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare bid proposals and present estimates to stakeholders.
  • Track and update cost databases, market trends, and pricing changes.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in estimating for electrical and/or concrete construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, conduit installations, and electrical load calculations.
  • Familiarity with concrete construction techniques, formwork, rebar placement, and foundation requirements.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Accubid, ProEst, or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple bids simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, and safety regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
