Machinist II
Location: Hemet, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Overtime as needed)
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Machinist II to set up and operate various machine tools including lathes, mills, and grinders. This role requires blueprint reading, precise setups, and consistent quality control in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines for production and prototypes.
• Perform multiple daily setups (20+ possible per day).
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal/written instructions.
• Apply proper machining techniques including speeds, feeds, and chip control.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure tight tolerances.
• Verify own work for accuracy and compliance.
• Use Oracle and CMTR systems to locate parts and materials.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Help train less experienced machinists.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of machining experience (lathes or mills).
• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, blueprint reading, and inspection tools.
• Forklift experience or willingness to be trained.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Additional Requirements:

• Must pass a background check.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Employment verification will be conducted.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
