Accounting Clerk (Entry Level)
Pay: $19.00-20.00/hour
Schedule: Full-time, in-office
- Monday & Wednesday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our growing accounting team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role is responsible for executing and monitoring the full invoice lifecycle across multiple accounting and operational systems. You'll serve as a key control point for invoice resolution, payment accuracy, and refund authorization — proactively identifying and resolving exceptions that could impact financial integrity or day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do
Accounting Execution & Invoice Lifecycle Management
- Manage end-to-end invoice workflows from creation through payment
- Execute invoicing, adjustments, voids, and resubmits across multiple accounting and operational platforms (including Sage and other ERP/OMS systems)
- Resolve blocked, denied, stalled, or errored invoices
- Ensure alignment and reconciliation between accounting and operational systems
Exception Monitoring & Issue Resolution
- Monitor exception queues on daily and weekly schedules
- Identify aging, high-risk, or recurring issues
- Investigate discrepancies and track resolutions through completion
- Escalate systemic issues to leadership with clear documentation
Cross-Functional Support & Continuity
- Provide backup support for Accounting Lead responsibilities
- Assist with AR review, inbox coverage, and urgent payment requests
- Support scheduled and ad-hoc check processing
- Partner with Operations and Accounting teams to prevent delays
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, billing, invoicing, or clerical finance roles
- Experience working with accounting or ERP systems (Sage experience a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
