Engineering Technician

Location: Carlsbad, CA
Shift: Second Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Pay: $29.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Engineering Technician to support manufacturing and engineering operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role assists engineering teams with troubleshooting, testing, process improvement, and technical support to ensure efficient and high-quality production output.

Key Responsibilities

• Support engineering and manufacturing teams with technical tasks and troubleshooting
• Assist with equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance
• Conduct testing and validation of components and assemblies
• Analyze production issues and assist in implementing corrective actions
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Collect and document production and test data
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering teams
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with basic measurement tools and testing equipment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic data entry systems
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/production floor setting
• Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
• PPE required as applicable
