Job Overview:
As a Cannabis IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and quality of our cannabis plants. You will be responsible for monitoring, identifying, and managing pests and diseases while implementing eco-friendly pest management strategies to ensure optimal plant growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pest and Disease Monitoring: Conduct regular inspections of plants and growing environments to identify signs of pests, diseases, and environmental stressors.
• Data Collection: Maintain detailed records of pest populations, disease occurrences, and treatment applications to track the effectiveness of IPM strategies.
• Implementation of IPM Strategies: Develop and implement pest management plans that utilize a combination of biological, cultural, mechanical, and chemical control methods.
• Treatment Application: Safely apply pesticides and other treatments as needed, adhering to all regulations and safety protocols.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the cultivation team to ensure healthy plant growth and provide guidance on best practices for pest prevention.
• Education and Training: Educate staff on IPM principles and practices, fostering a culture of proactive pest management.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding pesticide use and cannabis cultivation.
• Research and Development: Stay informed about the latest IPM techniques, pest management technologies, and industry trends to continually improve practices.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in pest management, horticulture, or cannabis cultivation is highly desirable.
• Skills: Excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a greenhouse environment and standing for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

• This position may require working in varying temperatures and humidity levels typical of greenhouse environments.
