Job Title: Finishing Technician
Department: SLA
Reports To: Manufacturing Director
Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Location: Onsite – Carlsbad, CA
Expected Hours: 40+ per week

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Finishing Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform part finishing tasks to meet customer specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities include post-processing work such as hardware inserts, sealing, bonding, and light painting. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review job sheets and follow detailed work instructions
• Perform finishing tasks to meet quality and customer specifications
• Execute post-processing duties such as hardware installation, sealing, and light painting
• Manage and prioritize daily workload efficiently
• Report job-related issues or delays to the Supervisor
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Participate in daily cleanup duties
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent hand skills and hand-eye coordination
• Previous experience in manufacturing or production preferred
• Familiarity with pneumatic tools, hand grinders, and sanders
• Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office, data entry)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Willingness to wear PPE and maintain a clean workspace
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Schedule: 8-hour day shift (Monday to Friday)
Commute/Relocation: Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Carlsbad, CA 92008 before starting
