Pay: $17-18/hour (Temp-to-Hire)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (1st Shift)
Location: San Marcos, CA
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Laser Operator / Production Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves operating CNC-controlled laser machines to cut and shape precision parts used in electronics and medical industries.

This is not a warehouse role, this position focuses on precision, attention to detail, and working with small, delicate components in a production setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC laser machines to produce high-quality parts
  • Load materials, monitor machine operation, and ensure production accuracy
  • Perform basic machine setup, offsets, and minor program edits
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, job instructions, and specifications
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
  • Identify and report equipment issues or quality concerns
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Support general production needs as required

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Experience operating CNC machines (mills, lathes, or similar)
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic shop math
  • Experience with machine setup, offsets, or minor program edits

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment with CNC-controlled laser equipment
  • Work involves handling small, delicate parts (ceramics, thin metals, plastics)
  • No heavy lifting or warehouse equipment involved
