Job Title: CMM Programmer
Department: Quality Control (QC)
Reports To: Quality Manager
Position Type: ☒ Full-Time ☐ Part-Time
Hours Per Week: 40+
Shift: Day Shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Range: $26.00 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience
Summary:
The Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programmer is responsible for programming, maintaining, and operating CMM and Romer Arm equipment to perform precise quality inspections. This role ensures compliance with internal quality standards by inspecting incoming, in-process, and finished products and recording results in the QC database.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following Experience:
- Proficiency with Verisurf Auto: Specifically, Verisurf Auto-Inspect or Auto-Measure, a feature within the Verisurf 3D measurement and inspection software commonly used in aerospace, manufacturing, and engineering environments.
- 1+ year of CMM experience
Responsibilities:
- Apply strong knowledge of GD&T to inspection processes.
- Perform inspections using CMM and Romer Arm machines.
- Create, debug, and verify CMM and Romer Arm programs.
- Collaborate with customers to align on CMM program requirements.
- Conduct AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIs) and generate corresponding reports.
- Provide labor hour estimates for CMM inspections to the program management team.
- Partner with Program Managers to deliver inspection quotes and lead times.
- Utilize a variety of inspection tools including gauges, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Communicate closely with production and program managers to resolve urgent quality concerns.
- Approve final inspection products according to specified requirements.
- Share inspection results with Program Managers and other departments as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of inspection outcomes in internal QA systems, FAIRs, AS9102 reports, and PPAP documentation.
- Record and manage non-conforming materials and RMAs.
- Follow proper procedures for using and maintaining inspection tools.
- Report inspection issues to the QA Manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
- Proficient in GD&T.
- Hands-on experience with CMM and articulating arms (e.g., Romer Arm).
- Skilled in the use of inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
- Familiar with ISO9001/AS9100D standards.
- Background in both inspection and production environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and symbols.
