Position: Fitness Manager
Location: Yucca Valley, CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7 am – 4 pm
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fitness Manager to lead our team and enhance the overall fitness experience for our members. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for fitness, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As the Fitness Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure that our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness and service.
Duties
- Lead and supervise fitness staff, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills.
- Manage employee orientation and onboarding processes to ensure new hires are well-integrated into the team.
- Oversee scheduling, payroll, and inventory management to maintain efficient operations.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote fitness programs and services.
- Conduct interviews and recruit qualified candidates for various positions within the fitness department.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment for members.
- Monitor member satisfaction through effective communication and customer service practices.
- Utilize retail management skills to manage merchandise sales, pricing, and inventory control.
- Develop budgets and manage financial aspects of the fitness department effectively.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and conflict resolution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in management or supervisory roles within the fitness or retail industry.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse populations; bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
- Proficient in administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, and/or inventory management.
- Solid understanding of retail math, merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in training & development initiatives to enhance team performance.
- Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities that inspire team members towards achieving common goals.
