Parks Maintenance Worker (Temporary) – City of Perris

Pay: $20.00/hour
Duration: 3–6 Month Contract Assignment (Opportunity for Full-Time/Permanent Placement)
Schedule Options:

• Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

OR Tuesday – Saturday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (must be available weekends)

Driving Required: Valid CA Driver’s License with clean driving record (1 point or less)

Position Overview

We are seeking two dependable and hardworking Maintenance Workers to support Parks & Community Services operations. This role focuses on landscape, irrigation, and general park upkeep throughout the City of Perris.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform landscape and turf maintenance
• Maintain and repair irrigation systems
• Operate landscaping equipment including:
• Push mowers
• Ride-on mowers
• Blowers
• String trimmers
• Hedge trimmers
• Assist with general park and facility upkeep
• Drive city vehicles to various job sites

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
• Valid CA Driver’s License with acceptable driving record (REQUIRED)
• 1+ year experience in landscape or grounds maintenance
• Experience with irrigation repair
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working for a city, government agency, or school district
• Experience maintaining parks, athletic fields, or public facilities
