Electrical Technician
Pay Range: $30.00 – $35.00/hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of electrical tasks, including wiring, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems while adhering to industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components, including wiring, fixtures, and appliances
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to determine layouts and installation procedures
• Test electrical systems and components for functionality, safety, and compliance with regulations
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
• Replace or repair faulty components, such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers
• Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors to coordinate electrical work on projects
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs
• Provide technical support to other maintenance staff or apprentices
• Stay up to date with developments in electrical technology, codes, and standards
• Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards
• Respond to emergency calls and service requests promptly
• Estimate material and labor costs for projects and repairs
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and customers to ensure work is completed efficiently and to satisfaction

Requirements & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or technical training preferred
• Journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification preferred
• Proven experience as an electrical technician or electrician, with strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
• Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manuals
• Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment, such as multimeters, wire strippers, and conduit benders
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity for bending, kneeling, lifting, and climbing
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work
