Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Machinist - 1 . This role involves setting up and operating manual machines such as lathes, mills, and precision grinders to machine metal parts and assemblies. The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, adjusting machine settings, and ensuring quality production while adhering to safety guidelines.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Location: Onsite- Hemet CA 92545

Hours: M-F / 6 am to 2:30 pm (occasional overtime and Saturdays)

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and grinders for production and prototype machining.
  • Perform multiple setups and operations daily (up to 20+ times).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering instructions.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet required tolerances.
  • Perform standard shop computations related to dimensions and tooling.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following company safety policies.
  • Use Oracle and CMTR software to locate parts.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts to load and unload materials.
  • Assist in training less experienced employees.
  • Support team initiatives, including 5S and standard work processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years operating manual lathes or mills
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Must pass a background check and drug test
