About the Role
We’re seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Inventory Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced food production and distribution environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring products and materials move efficiently through the facility while maintaining accuracy, organization, and compliance with food safety standards.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic setting, enjoys mentoring team members, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and participate in daily shipping, receiving, and inventory activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for correct quantities, quality, and documentation.
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse team members to maintain high performance and productivity.
- Enforce and uphold food safety and quality standards (including GMP and HACCP) throughout all handling, storage, and transport operations.
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts, reconciliations, and communication with production, procurement, and quality teams.
- Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving paperwork (bills of lading, packing slips, delivery reports, etc.) and update internal systems promptly.
- Coordinate closely with production, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth material flow.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the warehouse operation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics, operations, or supply chain is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse supervision — preferably in a food manufacturing or perishable goods environment.
- Must be fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
- Proficiency with WMS, ERP, or inventory management software (e.g., NetSuite) is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Forklift certification a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to perform in a fast-paced production setting.
