Job description:

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter/ Dishwasher team member to support kitchen operations during the 2026 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, CA (March 2 - March 15). This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, assisting with receiving deliveries, organizing inventory, and supporting overall kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Unload and properly store food, supplies, and equipment
  • Verify and sign invoices for deliveries
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils
  • Operate and maintain the dish machine and dish room
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, storage, and inventory areas
  • Sweep, mop, dust, and organize kitchen spaces
  • Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, hoods, refrigeration fans, and storerooms
  • Deep clean and degrease equipment as needed
  • Clean and restock restrooms
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, pest control, and SDS procedures
  • Attend required trainings and maintain necessary certifications
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a dishwasher, kitchen utility worker, porter, or receiver preferred
  • Restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food service sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Certifications (Required)

  • Riverside County Food Safety Certification

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
  • Comfortable working in hot, humid, wet, and noisy kitchen environments

Schedule Requirements

  • Must be available to work flexible hours including nights, and weekends during March 2 - March 15, 2026.
  • Minimum availability of three shifts per week
  • Extended hours may be required during events or peak periods
