General Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician with expertise in UPS, ELI, and -48VDC battery systems to handle installations, maintenance, testing, and decommissioning. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and ensuring seamless operation of critical power systems.

Must have UPS Power Systems experience.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, test, upgrade, and decommission battery systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and battery change-outs (BCOs).
• Safely isolate batteries for repair and maintenance.
• Complete Field Service Reports (FSRs) and communicate equipment status to customers.
• Provide customer training on Critical Power Systems when needed.
• Review procedures, drawings, and manuals prior to job site visits.
• Maintain company-provided tools, vehicles, and test equipment.
• Supervise OEM technicians and subcontractors on key customer sites.
• Submit weekly timesheets and expense reports.
• Monitor job schedules and update records in software management suite.
• Maintain positive and professional customer relationships.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience working with UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems.
• Valid California driver’s license in good standing.
• Proven experience in field service work.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for power-source equipment.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computers and technical equipment.
