Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Mailroom Clerk to support our payroll and accounting operations. This role involves managing payroll-related correspondence, ensuring accurate data entry, and assisting with various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll management systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, and possess strong organizational skills to handle sensitive financial information efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining precise payroll and accounting processes across corporate or non-profit sectors.

Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Sort, distribute, and process payroll mail and related documents in a timely manner
  • Perform data entry of payroll information into various accounting software including QuickBooks, HRIS systems, or other financial platforms
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing, ensuring accuracy in transactions
  • Reconcile accounts and perform journal entries related to payroll and benefits administration
  • Support general ledger accounting activities by preparing and verifying journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain organized records of payroll documents, tax filings, and benefits administration paperwork
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and internal policies
  • Utilize technical accounting skills to support month-end closing activities and financial analysis tasks
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and adhere to data security protocols

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a mailroom, payroll support, or administrative role
  • Familiarity with payroll or HR systems (any platform)
  • Strong data entry skills with high accuracy
  • Ability to organize, sort, and handle confidential documents
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Experience:

 

  • Mail Clerk/Mail Room: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Payroll: 1 year (Preferred)
