Job Title: Temporary Maintenance Worker – Parks Division

Location: City of Perris, CA

Hourly Rate: $20.00/ hr

Duration: Approximately 3 months

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 5:45 AM – 2:15 PM

Position Summary:

The City of Perris is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Worker for the Parks Division. This role involves hands-on work in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of city parks and outdoor recreation areas. This position includes driving a company vehicle to and between work sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mow, rake, and blow park grounds
• Trim, fertilize, and water landscaped areas
• Remove weeds, brush, dead trees, and branches using chain and hand saws
• Maintain and care for trees and park vegetation
• Collect and dispose of trash and debris throughout park facilities
• Drive a company vehicle to various park locations as needed

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with no more than 1 point on DMV record
• Must pass a DMV driving record check and background check
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and perform physical labor
• Previous park or grounds maintenance experience preferred
• Must be comfortable driving a company vehicle during work hours

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
