We are seeking an experienced and creative Executive Chef that is available on an as-needed basis for various events throughout the Coachella Valley. This role requires a high level of flexibility, culinary expertise, and the ability to manage kitchen staff and operations with precision and flair.
Key Responsibilities:
· Event Planning and Execution: Design and execute customized menus for diverse events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties.
· Team Leadership: Lead and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
· Quality Control: Oversee all aspects of food preparation and service to maintain consistent quality and presentation.
· Inventory Management: Manage inventory and procurement of ingredients to ensure freshness and cost-efficiency.
· Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to understand their culinary preferences and dietary requirements, providing exceptional service and attention to detail.
· Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar high-level culinary role.
· Proven expertise in creating and executing high-quality menus, with a strong understanding of various cuisines and dietary needs.
· Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage kitchen operations, and work under pressure.
· Ability to adapt to different event settings and schedules on short notice.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and vendors.
· Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
