Job Posting: Temporary Network Engineer

Location: Perris, CA

Job Type: Long Temporary Assignment

Pay: $43-$52 per hour, depending on experience

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the research, installation, configuration, and maintenance of all network hardware and software, ensuring functionality and security across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software including servers, broadband towers, WiFi access points, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Design, manage, implement, and upgrade network architecture, including LAN and WAN technologies, to meet growing communication requirements.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and monitor network performance, providing recommendations for improvements and problem resolutions.
  • Manage multiple servers, workstations, and terminals, ensuring proper integration with existing systems.
  • Implement new systems and upgrades; support software technical requirements; identify and resolve software and network problems.
  • Maintain and support Active Directory servers; manage user access rights and security configurations.
  • Act as email administrator; manage local servers, virtual machines, and cloud environments; handle user accounts and mailboxes; notify management of system errors.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve hardware and software malfunctions and enhance system performance; coordinate with outside consultants.
  • Implement and oversee network security measures; ensure proper user access and monitor security procedures.
  • Define and implement network disaster recovery plans; ensure protection and integrity of hardware, software, and data.
  • Develop and enforce backup policies and procedures; perform regular server and system backups.
  • Serve as a technical advisor; address IT issues, provide solutions, and maintain clear communication with users and staff.
  • Stay updated with technology trends; evaluate and recommend new solutions; improve operations and systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and user instructions; provide training and best practices advice.
  • Maintain records of network, server, and hardware inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in network management, computer systems, systems analysis, or related fields.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of network administration, security policies, backup procedures, and information systems.
  • Proficiency in network and server infrastructure, design, analysis, installation, and management.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving network and computer issues.
  • Ability to maintain and configure cybersecurity systems and perform complex technical service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare reports, policies, and documentation.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships and provide high-level customer service.
