Document Control Specialist

Location: Menifee, CA 92585

Pay: $21 – $26/hr (based on skills & experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary

We are seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our team in Menifee. In this role, you will be responsible for managing engineering and manufacturing documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely distribution. You will also assist in administering the engineering change order (ECO) system and support engineers and manufacturing teams to meet production schedules.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with full training provided. The previous Document Control Specialist has transferred to another department but remains available to assist in the transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and standardize drawing and router formats with the Document Control group.
  • Schedule and track document releases to Production Control to meet deadlines.
  • Update and correct drawings/routers with the manufacturing team.
  • Support engineering lab schedules and assist with prototype/sample shipping.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Production Control for engineering releases and customer SCD requirements.
  • Process customer SCD revision changes and highlight modifications for engineers.
  • Generate BOMs, routers, ECRs, and work instructions.
  • Enter routers into the ERP system based on SOA.
  • Maintain SharePoint with updated production drawings and send ECRs to Hong Kong for approval when required.
  • Write and maintain procedures for departmental processes.
  • Create datasheets and sample models; log and store sample parts.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Assist engineers with various tasks and support additional departmental needs.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma and related experience required (Associate’s Degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and/or CAD strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (oral & written).
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and prioritize projects.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
