Job description:

Well known Manufacturing Company located in Hemet is looking for a Crater Packer to join their team!

Hours : Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm, with occasional overtime and Saturdays, OT is not guaranteed but is required when scheduled.

Salary: $20.00 - 22.00 per hour

Summary of Position: Assembles containers for shipping and loads trucks with finished goods. Utilizes powered industrial trucks and various tools to prepare shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

• Prepares goods for shipment by assembling containers and attaching labels.
• Operates forklift to load and unload materials.
• Uses tools and equipment to build containers for product shipment.
• Weighs packages, attaches labels, and marks containers.
• Monitors inventory and reports material needs to the supervisor.
• Identifies and reports defective products.
• Ensures compliance with safety rules and regulations.

Other Responsibilities and Functions:

• Collaborates with Operations for process improvement.
• Adheres to regulatory compliance (OSHA, ISO).
• Participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
• Supports teamwork and positive work culture.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience, preferably in carpentry or manufacturing.
• Forklift certification (preferred)

Skills:

• Ability to work overtime.
• Proficient forklift operation.
• Must have Experience with driving a forklift,
• Running a table saw, nail gun, and staying on task.
• Works with limited supervision.
• Reads and understands written instructions, specifications, and blueprints.
• Strong sense of accountability and work ethics.
• Excellent customer focus.
• Willingness to learn and apply new skills.
• Effective verbal communication skills.

Requirements:

• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to pass Drug Test
• Must be able to pass background process
• 2 years recent /relevant working experience
